You'll notice with these batch of Ellerbisms that I don't move the camera at all and it's all very stationary looking. Well you'll be pleased to know that this changes soon as it's HARD TO PULL OFF. This is what I like about Ellerbisms, the way I can experiment with my comics and see what works and what doesn't work.

Oh and here's my Observer/ComICA competition entry that probably won't win. It's a redrawn Ellerbism. Click to enlarge...

"I Need To Stop Falling In Love On Trains" is GREAT! I've tried to draw a comic with the exact same sentiment myself many times but have never pulled it off as perfectly as you did here!

I agree, it's nice - you have a nice sense of pacing going on in this new one that wasn't really there in the original.

Yes, totally. That was part of the aim, I guess, the silence at the start adds a lot to it, which I should of added at the time.

2 great comics there. I like the extra detail on the redrawn comic and the colour palette is exquisite. Best of luck with the contest, its not too long 'til we find out we've not won.

Haha, how true. I might make a Facebook group with that as the title...

..not that I endore Facebook or anything...

that 'falling in love on trains' one is great. i dunno, ellerby. its one of your most poignant ones for whatever reason. i dunno what im talking about really. but i like it. draw me into one. lolz.
