I kind of forgot just how pink I used to colour this one...

San Diego was a weird con for me, not just because it was the first, but looking back at it, I didn't really do much. I met a handful of fans and that was great, but now I sorta felt I wasted my time. I'm certainly over the moon I'm not going back this year. However, the people I met, like Terry, Joelle, Jamie, Dean, Chris etc, were lovely and amazing people and I will miss that, for sure.

I do miss conventions though. In England they go quiet over summer, which to me is pretty dumb considering it's school/college break and it's damn nice to go out. You yanks have it so much better...

Oh and first Ellerbism drawn using a brush pen. I have another 20 drawn already, just got to colour them, but I'm about to start Vol 3 of Ellerbisms, so it's moving quicker than I thought it would.

That must've been the week Brandon Graham denounced the letter D.

I've been to SDCC six or seven times and I'm pretty sure every time I came back feeling like I didn't make proper use of my time there. I'm also glad I'm not going this year. That show's gotten meaner. I hear last year some british artist went home with a busted-up leg and silly hair. Or maybe his hair was always like that...

Gah! My fucking spelling and typos will be the death of me. I'm getting Anna to check over each one now before I upload them. I'm not totally stoopid.

My hair is awesome, Rolston. AWESOME.

Joelle and I always dreamed of going to Comic-con when we were growing up. Half of the reason I went was because it was something we were supposed to do together.

But all those people! And movie/video game stuff that had nothing to do with the comics/art! It was fun when we were out of the convention hall but I understand what you mean.

It was great to meet you though, and for that I'm glad we all went. I mean come on, Just seeing you wonder what a burrito was was enough to make this Mexican laugh a little.

And you ARE funny drunk.

I think my only reference point for a burrito was Beavis & Butthead and even then I had no idea what they were talking about...

The swamp of people just made me want to leave the hall not stick around there. Luckily I could head to Oni island to escape it but I felt bad for sticking around and taking up space...

I do want to go to Stumptown. More than anything, it's such a shame my planning of these things are fucking shite.
